Dawn of a Nation
An imposing video installation located in the first room of the "Dawn of a Nation" exhibition in Palazzo Strozzi in Florence. Four large screens placed around Guttuso's "Battle of the Admiral's Bridge" constitute an immersive environment which recounts a visual history of Italy from unification up to 1968. The extraordinary archives of the Istituto Luce and RAI Teche lead us to a rediscovery of a collective consciousness of art, society and politics.
