The Bottom Line

AIDS is one the major challenges for the African continent. The multinational pharmaceutical companies used WTO laws on international patents to keep the prices of medicines high, unapproachable by the great majority of African population. Therefore they were responsible for the death of millions of people. The documentary explores this theme telling daily stories of people who are fighting for survival. AIDS is more than a virus in a body, it s a social, political and economic fight which highlightens the contradictions of globalization.
